How To Hang David McDiarmid Studio's Jesmonite Picture Frames

David McDiarmid Studio offers handmade, jesmonite frames to hang your pictures with but given these are no ordinary frames what's the best way to hang them?

Here's a wee how-to video to show you how to hang these frames in your home using the hardware provided in your order and a few simple tools.

What is a Jesmonite Frame?

These frames are hand-cast with a two-part, eco-friendly casting material called Jesmonite, hand-mixed with colour pigments to colour-match the work being framed. Each frame is then sanded and polished to give a faux marble finish.

Theses frames can now be ordered as an add-on for each of David McDiarmid Studio's food portrait paintings or if you've bought a painting from David McDiarmid Studio in the past, you can now order a custom frame separately via the bespoke frames listing on David McDiarmid Studio's online shop.

The frames come in 2 formats/sizes:

• Square: 150mm (length X 150mm (width) x 10mm (depth)*

• Rectangle: 245mm (length) X 175mm (width) x 10mm (depth)* *outer edge dimensions

What If I Want a Frame Without the Painting?

While these frames have been specifically made to match David McDiarmid Studio's food portrait paintings, you can of course order a custom frame to fit any other piece of work you own, however, I only offer these 2 sizes at present.

• Square frame - will fit work measuring: 125mm (length) X 125mm (width) X up to 5mm (depth)

• Rectangle frame - will for work measuring: 225mm (length) X 150mm (width) X up to 5mm (depth)

These can be made in any colour you wish.
